Support Sessions:

  • Work one-on-one with students in 45-minute appointments, setting learning short- and long-term learning goals around reading, writing, and metacognition.
  • Mentor students in developing strong writing processes, including attention to organizational skills, revision techniques, and receiving and acting on feedback.
    • High school, undergraduate, and graduate students
  • Special focus on students who self-disclose learning disabilities and students who want to work on English language fluency.
  • Extensive experience working with LGBTQIA+, non-traditional, and/or first-generation students as well as Division I and III athletes across multitudes of sports.

Sessions can include:

  • Developing a thesis and topic sentences
  • Revising, proofreading, and polishing
  • Transitions
  • Research (finding, analyzing, responding to)
  • Citation styles (APA, MLA, Chicago, CSE, and more)
  • Developing study habits and practices
  • Improving inclusive writing practices
  • And more!

FAQ:
  • How long are sessions?
    • Sessions are booked for an hour. However, sessions last 45 minutes. 15 minutes is dedicated to my session prep as well as writing up session notes. Additionally, if the client chooses, they can be provided with action point notes.
  • Where do sessions take place?
    • Sessions can be in-person or online via Google Meet. At the moment, I do not have a physical office. Therefore, we can meet in common spaces like coffee shops, libraries, or at other places at your convenience. If we meet online, you only have to be located somewhere in the United States and have a stable internet connection.
  • Can I schedule weekly sessions? What if I need to meet more than once a week?
    • Yes, we can schedule sessions on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. We can also meet more than once a week if desired.
  • How much do sessions cost?
    • Individual sessions typically begin at $30 an hour. However, sliding-scale payments are available on a case-to-case basis. For a more detailed answer or if you have any questions, please reach out to me via email.

I am a professional writing tutor with over 10+ years of experience working with high school, undergraduate, and graduate students in the USA and UK on a range of writing assignments. I utilize the Socratic method when working with students so they can strengthen their academic skills and become more self-sufficient.

I am based in central Massachusetts and work with individuals both in-person and online. Synchronous and asynchronous options are available.
